My eyes are wide open, the road still stretches far ahead. The streets outside the city is really boring, just straight without traffic and only a few motorcycles and cars passing by. I see my brother fell asleep on the back seat, my father and my mother were still asleep on the front seat. I feel lonely in this bus. Night continues to make darkness deepened, the street lights becoming brighter and clearer. I occasionally seen men carrying merchandise standing on roadside and it looks like just a few bus that let hem in to let them sell their merchandise and give them a ride to their destination. I don't know how many times I checked my cell phone just to look at the time. The time seemed very long when boring things happen and all I can do is look at the darkness through the bus window.
What do you think when you see the darkness of night?
Maybe one of you have the fear of darkness, me too. For me, darkness is the enemy. Why? Because we can not see anything in the darkness, we can not see our way to go home in the darkness, we don't know people around us are friends or foes and we don't know how dangerous the environment around us.
Thats the darkness that I'm afraid of.
The darkness of unknowing.
However, I think the darkness of night is different. God created a different night everyday. Nights filled with curiosities like the moon that showing itself on a corner of a black cloud. Nights is about celebration, where the stars shine so bright and beautiful. Nights can be so scary with thunder and rain but can also be calm with the sound of crickets and night can be a very comfortable time to rest or even work.
In my opinion,
The night was like meeting an old friend, sometimes makes me remember about the merits of the past.
